Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) recommenced the Alliance Air's flight service between Hyderabad and Hubli. The flight service to Hubli was suspended in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. With this route, the number of domestic destinations from Hyderabad has reached 57.

Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India, has deployed a 70-seater ATR 72 600 flight on this route. The Hyderabad - Hubli flight service is an RCS flight under Udan initiative by government of India.

"We are glad that Hyderabad is once again connected with Hubli. The recommencement of this service testifies that the passenger confidence in flying is gradually increasing and GHIAL is geared up to meet the growing demand," said Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GHIAL.

These services were launched under Udan (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik), a regional connectivity scheme by the Government of India to enhance air connectivity to tier 2 and tier 3 cities. They are crucial in re-establishing connectivity with metros, Panicker added.

"Alliance Air aims to connect India with an alliance of hearts across the country with unique routes, unique destinations overcoming unique challenges. We look forward to serving with safety and service as our first priority. Ude Bharat Jude Bharat, Atmanirbhar bane Bharat," said Harpreet A De Singh, CEO, Alliance Air.

The flight departs from Hyderabad at 6.25 am and arrives in Hubli at 8.00 am. While returning, flight will depart from Hubli at 8.25 am and arrive in Hyderabad at 9.55 am. The flight service is scheduled to operate thrice a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
